The largest and most beautiful Medieval town square in Europe has been serving as the trade, administrative, spiritual and cultural centre of the city since 1257. It is overlooked by the St. Mary’s Basilica, from the tower of which the Krakow Heynal is played every hour. The Basilica itself with its marvelous altarpiece of Veit Stoss is well worth a visit.

The only mining facility in the world that has been functioning continuously since the Medieval Times. One of the first 12 historical sites to be registered by UNESCO on the 1st World Cultural and Natural Heritage List. Its original excavations are located on nine levels and extend for the total of about 300 kilometres: reaching the depth of 327 metres.
